We are becoming a buffet church, that is you take only out of it what you want and ignore the rest. The preacher will tickle your ears with messages designed to make the smorgasboard of beliefs taste good. No negatives and lots of sweetness and sugar. Just reduce the bible to a thin gruel and feed it to your congregation. Satan has finally found a way to destroy the church without firing a shot. Fortunately for us God is not behind this new venture in madness.

Economics

A prophets primary concern is not primarily fore telling future events, but forth telling of God’s message to the nation or the people. Where the fore telling part has ended the forth telling part will never end.
There is no real simple answer to the monetary crisis that we are facing at this time. The causes of it are multitude and not just caused by one particular political party. I blame this problem on the Democrats and the Republicans, simply because we have Republicans in the White House and Democrats in the congress and both seem unable or unwilling to address the problem. The value of the dollar has taken a big hit, this coupled with expenditures that do not add anything back to our economy are beginning to destroy America.
The war in Iraq is part of the problem, a big part, but it is not necessarily the most important part. It would have helped if we had gotten out of Iraq entirely last year, but now the damage has been done and it is irreversible. Spending money on a war that is not only not winnable, but has no end in sight is foolish. Wars in the past have generally helped the economy, but this was when manufacturing was geared up to produce weapons and machinery for war. We are siphoning off energy to use in the war and that is creating problems at home at the gas pump.
The moral quagmire that we have immersed ourselves in since the 1960’s is by far the largest part of the problem. We seem convinced that we can have a huge amount of personal freedom, but zero amount of personal accountability. We are killing millions of future Americans and do not even seem to care. Abortions are increasing at an alarming rate. Today our society demands the most out of “I”, even if it means destroying an unborn life. God help it if something should get in the way of “I” even if it is a helpless little one. No mater how this particular problem is addressed it is still pre-meditated murder. We do not want to put the ten commandments up in courthouses let alone in schools. This aparently because we do not want God envolved in our national life. Well guess what folks, He is involved anyway and the Judgment day is approaching, but it is not to late to repent.
We are spending millions of dollars a year on entertainment of all kinds and an equal amount on drugs and alcohol. Our churches have swallowed the current trends in business trying to make the message palitible and they are getting bigger, but they have sacrificed preaching the word of God in its entirety to do it. We no longer preach about sin, righteousness and judgment for fear that some group will be offended. We want to pack people into our churches and we want them to be comfortable with what we say. We want them to come back to our churches like they do to McDonald’s. Folks we are not McDonald’s we are the church that Christ built and we have His message to preach to the nations. The message is more important then the people and allegiance to God’s Word should take our primary attention.
We do not even believe in nor practice the first eleven chapters of Genesis. The gospel is now just a quaint story and the Bible is full of errors to many. We need to repent now and return to preaching the truths of God’s Word before it is too late. The departure from faith in the message that started in Genesis is slowly eroding what is left of our moral values and convictions. It is surprising how the message of the book Genesis has effected everything we do and think. If the doctrines that are derived from Genesis are lost then so is everything else. Genesis 3 records the fall of Adam and hence the whole race, this important doctrine can be followed from Genesis to Revelation. Romans 3:23 declares “(Rom 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
” Romans 6:23 tells us that the “(Rom 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans also tells us that “(Rom 5:12) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” This message would not exist if it were not for the book of Genesis, gut the book of Genesis and the Christian message disappears.
Our friends and neighbors do not need a message they want to hear, but a message that they need to hear. We should not be primarily tailoring a message that makes them feel good, but a message that will turn them to the truth. (2Ti 4:3) “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;” Messages that are tailored to make them feel good won’t get them saved.

Hearer of the word, or doer of the word

If a hearer gets saved by the seeker-sensitive gospel, then it is very possible that since these very important doctrines have not been explained, they really did not get saved at all. At least not in a way it would count to God. They could get saved to a local church and still not make it to heaven. This is the worst kind of deception and smacks of the hand of Satan. He has found a new way of circumventing God’s plan of salvation. Rick Warren and crowd in an attempt to be seeker-sensitive do not preach about sin and judgment during worship services, plus little about the atonement all of which are necessary doctrinal truths for salvation. Leaving them out of their message is deceiving. It is walking away from the faith that is once delivered unto the saints. I am sure as I sit here at my desk that if Jesus, Paul, John, Peter and the rest of the early church fathers were to go into Saddle Back Church, that they would not be happy with what they see.

A Curse to Christ deniers

If you would like to do an interesting word study look up accursed (anathema) and see how this word is used. Hint it is used only one time outside of Paul’s epistles and that was in Acts 23:14. In that verse it is Paul’s enemies that placed themselves in a curse until they had killed Paul. This gives some seriousness about the use of this word. Guess what when you preach the word of God in truth you reap enemies, both those who claim to be Christian and those who don’t. If they claim to be believers and then make critical judgment of believers it makes me wonder if they really are believers.
The following is every instance in the New Testament were this word (anethema) is used, it is not wrong for a beliver to pronounce a curse on someone as long as you remember how serious this is the numbers after each word in the serious is where you can find it in Youngs Concordance.
