However, Pre-Trib and Pre-Mill are both scriptural and biblical as well. I have had many friends who are just as orthodox as I am that did not believe in a Pre-Trib rapture or Pre-Mill second coming. In fact, among those who wrote these articles are both A-Mill and Post-Mill positions. A good example is J. G. Machen who was not Pre/Pre, but a Post-Mill. My main point is that the Lord is not going to deny them entrance to heaven, because they were not Pre-Trib/Pre-Mill. Those issues are not addressed but several of the authors did subscribe to premillenialism and even dispensationalism. The Fundamentals of the Christian faith range from issues concerning the validity of old testament texts, including the five books of Moses as well as all of the prophets, but especially Isaiah and Daniel. In the later part of the 1800s through the 1900s and to this point the authorship of major portions of the old testament were attacked. This means that some so called authorities tried there best to prove that large parts of the OT never happened or were written after the fact. Scholars who believed in the authority of the OT arose to the challenge and defended the faith, such as J.G. Machen who defended the old testament teaching of the virgin birth and did so very adequately.
